In this instance, our client, Desley H, had a walk-through robe linking her bedroom to her ensuite.
When she reached out to us for help there two issues she wanted to address.
- There was no door to close off the bathroom and wardrobe to her bedroom, and
- There were no doors on her wardrobe, so her shelving and the items stored within were visible at all times and exposed to dust and moisture.
We discussed our range of premium sliding door solutions with Desley, but due to other design elements in her house, she decided our black glass doors would be the right fit for her wardrobe.

For Desley we created:
- Black Glass Doors for Wardrobe
- 5 black glass doors, plus 1 mirrored door, which were custom built into the existing wardrobe space
- A custom pelmet to hide the top tracks for a clean polished look
Upon installation, Desley felt the standard frost-coloured door side rubber bumper did not compliment the black doors well, and her robe featured spotlights that emphasised the bumpers.
She let us know her concern and we set about sourcing a black rubber alternative. Within a week, we sourced the black rubber and went back to replace the frost-coloured bumpers.
Because of this experience, The Sliding Wardrobe Door Company now offers black bumpers on our black glass doors, so all colours match in perfectly.
- White Melamine Single Sliding Door
- 1 white melamine door with a custom white pelmet. This door enabled Desley to close off bedroom to the bathroom and robe
Once this was installed, Desley felt that the white aluminium pelmet needed to be softened to compliment the rest of the bedroom design.
We then arranged for our painter to custom paint the pelmet and Desley was very happy with the final results.

“This company is amazing. The black glass sliding doors I have put into my walk-in robe are fantastic. They also designed a sliding door I can close because like a lot of modern homes, the bedroom has no door into the walk-in robe which then leads into the bathroom. This creates very little privacy if you are lying in bed looking into the bathroom and can’t close the door.
“I was slightly unhappy with the first delivery. But they came back out immediately, suggested a fix and within a week had taken the product back, fixed it and re-installed it at no extra cost to me. I did pay a small fee for another modification I asked for (this was included in the fix) which was at cost only. This is truly old-fashioned service with lovely people. I highly recommend them and I am very fussy.”
